After that you need a picture editing programm like GIMP: http://www.gimp.org/downloads/
Just do that and safe the pictures as .png
Download a Texture Pack and see under what name you have to safe it.

ok does your computer have photo shop on it? If so you can simply make a texture through that but you need to use the correct image format like .png ok
