So is there much interest in this kind of texture pack?

I'm totally new to textures for Minetest but out of boredom I started editing the textures in my Minetest. I've replaced a number of them with "real" textures. If I continue there may be a complete texture set using "real" textures. Screenshots below. However is there an interest for such a texture pack?

Furnace front and side at dusk while holding a block of wood:

Tree trunk and leaves:

These are by no way the finished thing. This is a couple hours of boredom. Other textures were modded as well such as the steel sword and steel axe as well as the brick block and single clay brick. Jungle grass was also edited as well as grass (but the grass didn't turn out too well). Also edited the player graphic for my own use and edited the wood planks graphic.

I know some people like these but in the words of a game I once played: fun over realism

It looks really bad, I think the texture sizes are about 500x500 so it looks real bad with NN scaling

Also textures blend horribly

some hd texture packs are good... yours leans more towards the bad end
cons:
they are not seamless
furnace doesn't look right
leaves are ugly
pros:
I like the tree trunk!

lol the screenshots show a VERY rough "idea" of a HD texture pack. Please note the "These are by no way the finished thing. This is a couple hours of boredom."

I'm just curious if I should attempt to make them better for a release or should I drop what I've done and continue on my merry way lol
