Is this build supposed to be able to join 0.4.3 servers? The first 0.4.4 build was not able to.

You can join 0.4.3 servers with 0.4.4-dev client, but not vise-versa.

When I join 0.4.3 servers, the latest build of 0.4.4 eventually crashes. Compatibility must not fully work yet.

Models will not display properly when using the latest 0.4.4 build on servers with older 0.4.4 builds.

sfan5, could you post your minetest folder along with files generated by cmake, compressed with any archive format?
I've troubles compiling minetest under win both with MSVS and MinGW, and no one have posted anything since my humble request at the "compilation under windows" thread. So, please, just one time, could you compress anything that needed and post here a link to that archive?

I use Linux to cross-compile to Windows, so the Build files won't be useful

Could you explain how to cross-compile? I'm more ubuntu user then win32.

I;ve been having quite a fun time trying to compile. I can't seem to find a working zlibwapi.lib anywhere, as the ones I build(I've tried EVERY Zlib build option) never link, and the compiler doesn't want to dynamically link to zlibwapi.dll, either.

In my case I have problems with gettext with MSVS and with lua (builtin.make, lines 47,50,53). That's windows.
Under ubuntu compiling minetest is always a pleasure.
Sfan5, do you have some kind of compile script for cross-compilation? Could you post that here?

I just corraled everything into CMake and let it run. I just can't seem to make zlibwapi.lib.

Actually, it built last night, and I;m trying to find all the lines I mistakenly commented out.

Just download zlib1.dll from somewhere and put it in bin/minetest

Erm, I tried that. Got this error: the ordinal 55 was not found in the dynamic link library zlib1.dll

The build above the latest one does work though.

New build with the new mapgen and working server list:
minetest-0.4.4-d1-33be32f-win32.7z
Tip: If zlib1.dll is missing download it from the internet and put it in minetest/bin

I got the error "Ordinal 72 could not be located in the dynamic link library libcurl.dll", Downloading libcurl.dll from dll-files.com fixed it. I'm running Windows 8.

I also got the missing zlib1 error, and got the file from dll-files.com and it fixed that error.

Finally someone who can confirm that it works.
Thank you! :)

Maybe look in the first Post:
