Hi,
Well, everything is in the title : I'm looking for a mod that displays in the upper right corner of my screen a sky-view map of where I am.
Did someone already worked on that?
Thanks

Gsmapper can be used to get such a map. It's not a mod but a patch - which means you've got to change the source code of your local copy of Minetest. It works independent of the server. Personally, I didn't find it very practical as the view range is naturally limeted (you can only see what the server has sent so far), and there seems to be no way to scale the size of the map on-the-fly during gameplay.
The general approach to the lack of maps is to consult overview-maps provided by the server as huge images for large-scale orientation, use /home and /spawn and whatever teleportation mods exist, and apart from that, don't bother.

Gsmapper would be very cool if someone kept on developing it, but no one seems to be interested in it. It would be a very nice thing to have.

Freeminer currently has it, but I believe that it is disabled. There are some outside game mappers that are usable. I think that you can also find another couple mods that give you a viewable map. You rightclick or something and the map appears.

gsmapper is the equivalent of a Minecraft mod - it is a patch.
