Square pixels formspec

by Kenney » Wed Jan 07, 2015 03:50

I'm trying to create a pixel perfect GUI using formspec but for some reason or another, even if I make my images perfectly square and the formspec square as well it seems to stretch the image to a wrong ratio.

Since I'm using pixelart it's very noticeable, any way to disable this or allow me to use my own position/sizing?

I would guess it is the same bug that makes the hearts look distorted. I was surprised to see 0.4.11 released without fixing that.
Have you also tried it in version 0.4.10? If it is the same bug it should work there.

Just tried in 0.4.10 but has the same result as 11.

You might want to study some of the recent IRC logs at http://irc.minetest.ru/minetest-dev/2015-01-07. There has been a lot of discussion of fixing some UI and formspec issues especially with mobile devices in mind starting with celeron55's efforts here http://irc.minetest.ru/minetest-dev/2015-01-05 to compile an acceptical android version.
