I very like to build ships, helicopters from blocks and fly on it.
Has anyone created an alternative to this mod?

My phone is terrible, steer clear of Huawei products. My keyboard disappears after ten seconds of typing, and takes 20-30 seconds to reopen.

There's also an older one called airship.

The devs have been ing (<-- another example of how terrible my phone is, every so often it glitches and deletes part of a word I'm typing.) something called "Voxel Area Entities" or VAEs for short. VAEs is the engine support for this feature, but they're a long way off if they come at all.

On the vehicles subpage of the mods page on the Minetest Wiki you may find some mods that can achieve this. Among the allready named also "Flying Ships".

I have recently created the flying carpet mod, but this is of course not comparable, because it has airplane-like physics and is unable to float freely in air. But doing a hot-air balloon or something like this was already on my modding TODO list. I don't promise anything, however. :P
