How to make a item could be put on the desk

i try to edit some items of mods to let item could be put on the desk, pls show me the guide,tks u so much...

press Q seems no good? because item will turn around and looks strange?

There are two types of items: nodes and craft items


Nodes can be placed. They're usually blocks, such as stone. But the could also be doors or fences.

Craftitems cannot be placed. They can only be dropped.

There's a mod that allows you to display craftitems, I forget the name. Alternatively you could mod minetest to turn all craftitems into nodes.

This has been something that I have missed as well. Why isn't there a node for every item so that everything may be placed. Home-Decor and others such as Memorandum and some of the food related mods such as Mtfoods, Sweet Foods, Pie, Food Blocks and many others offer some items that can be placed on tables and in shops.

I can place an apple but why not a bread or hang a weapon on the wall - or - place a stack of gold in my vault?

I really do think that a lot more items that are craftable in MTG should also be placeable.
