Performance impact of objects with loop sounds

I want to place objects with connected loop sounds to the map. How does that perform? Over time there could be a few hundred or maybe thousands of objects on the map

Probably you can check how fire mod is implemented as it uses sound and may be many nodes when forest is set on fire.
