Looking for a mod that makes crafting super easy

Hi there,

I'm looking to install MineTest for my dad, since he really like this kind of game. But he's a very causal player and has a lot of trouble remembering how to craft and the different crafting recipes for everything. He also doesn't read English that well (we're in Europe) so much of the information online goes past him.

Is there perhaps a mod that makes crafting super easy for the older, causal players? I've tested Crafting guide and that looks nice, but it doesn't make it possible to make the item directly from the crafting window. So then he still has to remember or write down the different steps for the different components for the item.

I've also tested Crafting, but that one shows the crafting possibilities after putting the raw materials into one of the crafting boxes. So that still assumes knowledge of the crafting recipes and which material components go into an item.

What I mean with a 'super easy crafting mod' is a mod where the user can click on the item he wants (like a stone pickaxe), and that MineTest then automatically converts wood into planks (if needed), those planks into sticks (if needed), and then combines the sticks with stones for the item.

Does such a thing exist?

Why don't you just use creative mode? Or you try unified inventory

I think the closest you'll get to that is Unified Inventory (my favorite). It doesn't automatically combine the components. It wouldn't be impossible, but the mod would have to automatically make decisions about which of several options to use to make anything, which would be guaranteed to infuriate somebody eventually when they couldn't get it to make the choices they wanted (or worse yet, it did the combine automatically and cost them components).

Like Burli said, go with creative mode if you don't want to think out the craftiing.
