Git, Github, and Minetest modding

by taikedz » Mon Oct 31, 2016 16:58

Hello

I've been meaning to do this for a while... so here's a tutorial for making a mod, using git, using github, and adding sounds and textures to a fresh new node.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M29yp-P7XOA

It's 1 hour long, I tried to be as simple yet comprehensive as possible....

Hope that helps.

Wow shit. A whole hour of explaining is maybe a bit much but you seem to explain there everything that's needed.
Would it possible to add the time links into the description for each "chapter", like: Signing up, Creating a mod, Uploading the mod etc.?
I'd really appreciate it to be able to jump quickly to the wanted part instead of scrolling through everything :)

Hm good points, I will.

It really is aimed at the complete neophytes so as to have something to point them at should they ask. And yes, direct-linking to each part would probably help massively.
