Pirate Test?

Has anyone thought of creating a Pirate game yet? Could be called Pirate Test or Pirates of Minetest? or even Treasure Quest?
One could gather up a crew, and search for a lost treasure, build a pirate town, etc..?
I'd love to see something like this, and I could help with graphics and maybe to build some pirate centric mods? A treasure map could be created, and players would follow various clues along the way to find the treasure?
Just a thought...
I do realize it may be odd creating a "pirate" game when there are yet no actual floating / moveable ships but, the game could start off on a stationary ship, or even a ship wrecked up on shore? Maybe you have to try to beat others (or other crews) to the treasure.
IDK, maybe a lame idea haha..., but then again, I'm pretty lame

just a super high def boat.obj mesh, after that you just change the hitbox and it works soooooooo nicely!

I wondered about using bigger meshes for boats. Wish I were better skilled with Blender...

Something cool in 4.14 is that you can have big meshes without lag ;)

This means I can try to find, or make a small 17th century ship :D
Need to keep the hull flat though..., don't want to be running ashore every 6 blocks :{

Working on a server along that theme. Also look at the Blacksails cannon mod I'm working on (mod discussion).

haha... I believe it is a fishing boat... It's a lot of fun to use. That is one of the only times I will use the F7 key so I can see where the heck I'm going :D
I've been looking at some other models of 16th and 17th century boats but have not tried any of them yet... those are the sort of ships I'm after... and I am hoping I can use one which is quite large/er ; ) and hopefully set some good timber textures to it

Such a detailled boat model might also be of intrest for sunken shipwrecks in the sea modpack. Ships built in MT are usually too large and cubic for that purpose, and they do sometimes suffer from water beeing the way it is. Shipwrecks could thus be entities that would give their treasure upon right-click (or would have "lost" the chest with all the gold bars to some nearby node with a chest :-)).
