tram possible?

by fgr » Wed Sep 19, 2012 08:13

Hi,

i was thinking about a mod, if possible to code, that allows users to build a tram on tracks to move from point x to point y with a tram like device.

your able to build tracks so is it possible to implement such a riding device?

whats your opinions? makes it sense or is it to cpu heavy?

thanks

At the moment vehicles don't work very well (see "carts"). But I could imagine a tram with stations where you enter, select where you want to go and get teleported there (if there is a station too and the two are connected).

yeah thats my imagine ... i have build a tube and this tube has a beginning and a end. two stations should be connected through tracks. You can build them, but without vehicles ... a bit pointless. so the idea is that those points can be reached through a controlled tram. teleporting isnt very funny because you cant see the move ... just teleporting...

Vehicles would be really great. It kind of breaks the game to have to teleport around. Is there no way at all to move the player? Except such things as destroying the block beneath the player or dropping the player into water.
