Support for Multiple Screens / Windows

One screen would be the normal view. Another could be a map from gsmappers. Another could be the inventory which is open all the time.

Lots of possibilities.

Any thought? I am not sure if Irrlicht supports multiple windows.

Multiple windows may be cool.
As a NDS owner, however, I may say that those generally only use more space and are of a questionable necessity/value.

Multiple screens can be achieved with the means of the previous one.
Don't want to use whole screen for some type of windows.

But... how one is supposed to use inventory in a separate window?
Pressing one key can be done faster than switching between windows.
Additionally this kind of "visualization" would require some major changes of the default controls...

So, I guess, someone should start coding this according to his/her own views and then give others a chance to try & comment.

Regards!

That is true. I forgot about that. It could just display the inventory, as it may be helpful. Meh. If I had this I would just want the normal game window open and a map on another screen

It would be nice to have support for multiple windows. Personally I use two monitors with my computer and it would be nice to have it set up so one screen would display the normal view and the other could display the inventory or a map.

It wouldn't necessarily be very useful for everyone, but for people with multiple monitors it would be fairly useful.
