FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

Minetest has some decorative blocks, that are useless, in fact. I think it would be cool if they had some use, e.g. steel blocks could only be broken by player who put them, players could fall to straw without damage and players moved faster on rails.

Steel blocks are an easier way to stack steel ingots so are very handy, also can be made into stairs and such with the right mod... Straw is the same, an easier way to stack wheat and great for straw bale roofs although a good idea to add less fall damage... Rails need carts mod to run and having a player walk faster on them is kinda weird...
