turn rate delay

Ok, I don't know what the proper words are to describe this. But in an update that happened very recently, suddenly when I move the mouse, instead of my view moving immediately with the mouse, it starts out fast, then slows down until it gets to the new position. My mouse moves and stops, but the view on the screen is still moving and takes a while to reach the stop and come to a gradual halt there.

I'm sure many people LOVE this new feature, but for the first time, Minetest is making me nauseous. Is there an option to turn it off and go back to the old view? Where when you moved the mouse, your view moved instantly to match?

Hit F8 to toggle "cinematic mode." This tripped me up too, and I looked all around for "mouse delay" or "mouse filter" options. I think it's misnamed.

It's called camera_smoothing and cinematic_camera_smoothing in minetest.conf. Cinematic mode is useful for making movies.
