Underwater colours.

Um, hello
I'm asking if you could please add a distinct colour to underwater. Like how the dplus mod has. Vanilla minetest underwater doesn't feel "wet" at all; it feels so empty. Adding some blue would add some more "wetness" to water, thus giving the game more depth. So, I'm asking could you do this? Or is it too CPU-intensive? (I have a 5 year old computer that has NEVER been upgraded but MT with dplus and many other mods work perfectly fine so...............)

you should add a poll for this sort of stuff and anyway there are settings for these things isn't there?

Are we talking about the effect that deeper water is darker because less light reaches it?

I wasn't at first talking about that, just the color, but that's so awesome I'm switching topics.
So now we are talking about that.
That effect would also add some depth to the game :D
YES that's a must have in Minetest.

As long as such a visual effect is not available, you might enjoy the sea modpack. It does add some nice underwater plants and corals and makes lakes and seas much more intresting.

Doesn't water already make everything look blueish?

It does, but the post effect color does not depend on water depth or light level, which may make it overly bright in some cases. As a temporary fix, I suggest using a darker post effect color, like {a=100, r=20, g=60, b=80}.

well, it shouldn't have any red, as that would make it more grey. Water absorbs red light the most, and blue light the least (that's why water looks blue in large amounts, and pictures of things underwater look blue-green.)

The post effect color should be pretty dark blue, maybe 0,32,64, (so it won't increase the brightness of anything) and have a low alpha so it's not too dark.
