Mapgen7 with the new trees is simply awesome,
but in snow biomes the ocean floor is made of snowblocks and dirt_with_snow nodes;
Is there anyway to prevent/change this or is this just part of the biome?
I create an ABM to change to sand but Its kinda screwing with the sealife mod's ore generation.

Also is there a setting I can change to have deeper ocean?

You're using latest 0.4.12dev with latest MTGame? In the ice-mountain biome the snowblocks do reach down to y = -8 but are under ocean ice not water. I'll check the biomes.
For deeper oceans add this line from conf.example to .conf:
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
Code: Select all
mgv7_np_terrain_alt = 4, 25, (600, 600, 600), 5934, 5, 0.6, 2.0

First number is average seabed / lowland height, second number is the variation either side of the average, so increase the variation. You could also lower the average value.

Dang, no I am using an engine/ client build from a couple of weeks back.
Will grab the latest and see whats new.

I am currently using the Default Mapgen7 settings from Freeminer Game
that Wuzzy shared awhile back, and that line is already there exactly as you have it.
I will keep searching before I tamper with it :)

That code line is the default values, for deeper oceans you will need to alter it.
