How about to release minetest with 2 default subgames.
1 is which we currently use pure default and second one which has most rated user made mods inside.
If we do that new minetest players can adopt to game easyly.

whats the point of another default game that has no real defined objective;
why not just include the "most rated user made mods" in the mod folder?

Because default one should be free of bugs and stable. The more you add mods the more game becames unresponsive. So adding them to default game is not that clever move. Some parents dont have knowledge about computer staff or no time to add mods or search them, they download game and serve to children. Child can add mods if they likes the game. So first impression is should be very well to hold people to game. More mods inside more like it get.

Thats why you put the mods in the mod folder;
the mods will be available and optional at the same time.
Edit
I think you misunderstood what I intended to say :)
I meant put the mods in "minetest/mods" folder
not the minetest game's mods folder.

I think a game full of the most popular mods isn't a good idea, games need to be balanced and polished and that doesn't make sense. I'd vote for:
"Minetest Bare Minimum"
"Minetest Game"
Minetest game should be a complete balanced fun game. For compatibility, it should be based on Minetest Bare Minimum.

Wouldn't "Minetest Bare Minimum" be the thing to build your own world on?
If so, it would quite possibly be not very fun to play on it's own.
If so, why include it in a default minetest release?
I would be perfectly happy with a single fun to play "Minetest Game".
Also I think that minetest should not have worlds that are included only for developers convenience. Those could be included in separate downloads like "Minetest Develop" or "Minetest Modders Choice".
So I'd vote for one world.

How about the following: don't bundle the games with Minetest, bundle Minetest with the games! Users would then download and install Carbone, or MinetestGame.
This would require quite a bit of restructuring, and I'm not sure I like the idea myself, but it's something to think about.

Minetest Bare Minimum would be for end users to install mods on top of, if that's how they want to play it.

Ah yes, good point.

Definitely a good idea, but should be done to give perspective of how diverse games can be. minimal developer test, minetest_game (or something, the minecraft equivalent), and then something else doing entirely different things with the engine.

I think Pixture is a partly-usable state right now, but has no mod compatibility, as it's designed to work only with itself.
P.S.: Maybe someone has a server to set up an MP server with it?
