Sub-game support for android client

I recently tried out the current android version my new tablet and even though the controls are absolutely terrible the game itself runs ok and gives me a respectable 30fps with the default view range.
My biggest gripe is the fact that not only is there no built-in sub-game support, I could not even manage to install one manually. (advice on that is welcome)

Sub-games, imo are important for the future of this project and should be easy enough to install on all supported platforms.

Something I've been working on recently (still WIP):

It's more of an experiment - I wanted to make an app to learn app dev, and this is what came to mind first.

The android client, afaik, has a very limited interface. I'm not sure if you can even select a sub game. That app above currently only does mods, but subgames could be a future expansion.

While mod managers really should be part of the main app, I think that a native GUI would be beneficial to use and more intuitive.

Nice, like the idea, and the screenshot looks nice as well. For discussions about making this official: same restrictions apply than on the desktop ofc, with security required and so on.

Waoh, that looks very nice indeed, I do hope it will also include sub-game support.

Any progress on this? It looks like a good idea. Quite a lot of mods would run well on Android devices provided less experienced players could manage to install them. I even tried my villages during development, and that mostly worked (though the view range on my phone is a bit limited for that).

I've been working on it the last few days. It now pretty much works for mods. I still need to make the world configuration work with mod packs. There's no subgame support yet, but that is planned.

Here are some screenshots: http://rubenwardy.com/mtmods4android/

So far I've everything works except for subgames, and the way it downloads zips is a little bad (doesn't show progress as a notification).

I tested it, anyways in really left the progress bar, now we need a fastest Minetest version for android!

The original one runs me very laggy!
