FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

I'm sure these was a topic with this idea in but i can't find it mods feel free to redirect me and / or delete this topic but I think floating islands would be nice feature plus if the islands are so high up a shadow will not be cast so what do you guys think ?

[I know the shadow thing because on redcrab's server I built a house at level 100.5]

I'm pretty sure that the shadows would still come down.

You can prevent that

I messed with my config file so it might be different for you guys but they could be higher up with chests with stuff in 'em like a mese pick because mese was taken out of the generator.

if the islands were generated outside of your viewing distance the blocks would be deactivated and there for no shadow.

So what is that picture for?

No. In this picture there are odd shadows, Idk where they come from. Guessing it is a mapgen error. I went to 3000+ and nothing.

it happened to me too i saw some Island-Like on the sky but that does not Slow your game
Leave it as it will and you will enjoy Mintest more..
