When there is already a user "Joe" on the server it should not be possible to create "joe" as well. Instead "Joe" should be able to log in to his account in a case independent way.

RLY? On my local server I have auth.txt with "Heinrich" as well as "heinrich" and "HeInRicH". All different accounts. Oh, maybe if I'd use a case insensitive FAT-file system the inventories from world/players would end up in the same file for all of them. Now that would be a great way to steal other players stuff.

No Karlas is wrong in saying they are the same that's what it appears to be what he is saying any-ways.

Joe - Account
joe - Account
jOE - Account

So you were right in saying that Users are case sensitive.

There a Solutions to This:

- The server/game will convert the name to lower case and look for names thats way as i think it checks Filenames and not inside the files. Now inside the file all ready is 'name = ' Which i believe Stores the In-Game Name. This would store what the user Inputted into the User Section on the first Time.

Edit:

'name =' is Read by server for what the user inputted and is used as their in-game name too. The file naming is basicly pointless, well not so much makes it easy to delete a specific users file ect.

Sure you were ;]

Eh i wouldn't blame you if you did think lower and upper-case didn't matter I Originally though that as it would have seemed like the wisest thing to-do.
