I've an idea, for a simple and useful feature. The server list.
All it is, is where the ''multiplayer'' tab has a list. Under that it has 3 buttons, ''add server'', ''direct connect'', and ''connect''. ''Add server'' button allows one to input the address of a server, and that is added to the list. Clicking that one on the list and clicking ''connect'' connects to that server. ''direct connect'' allows one to connect to a server without needing to add it to the list.
Eh?
EDIT: upon connecting to any server, before it connects, it prompts the player to input the password. If incorrect, the connection is not established. If correct, the connection is established.

i'd love if MT had this

for now, i do it like this. I made minetest:// links open the game - see this post - http://minetest.net/forum/viewtopic.php?id=3272

i then simply make a HTML page of my favorite servers, then i can just click the link to play
