FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

Numerous times in Minetest, i have been stumped by a few things, that would be fixed if an icon could be displayed.


Server Timeout
When I am playing on a server, sometimes it disconnects, and i dont know about it until a minute of work later.
There needs to be an icon that tells the user when it has not talked to the server for 5 seconds or so


Inventory Full
Several times I have lost lots of mese because by inventory was full when mining. there should be an icon or sound that displays or plays when the inventory is full

Lag detector
I hate when my creations are not update and I fall through the bridge into lava

Not for server timeout, and they are not talking about icons

I am talking about singleplayer.

Single player is a server basically. Lag is caused by a disruption between the server and client.

Server is ran on another thread, and some mods may make this server lag.

I doubt it.

You still have the default mod installed, without it there would be nothing ingame, not even a craft/inventory menu.

But I know what you mean. Minetest is just buggy sometimes

Rephrase I HAVE A GAME WITHOUT EXTRA MODS :-) :-)

If you press F5 twice, it comes up with a graph of packets recieved

The Alert icon should display when there has not been any packets for 1 second.
