We need to be able to hit other players

All is on the title we need to be able to kill other players cause when they are griefing our house it can be useful...

Somehow I think there's a better solution than just adding straight-up PVP to the game. I'm not sure what, but this has me thinking on it.

Here's my solution to the whole griefing problem, try to follow.

* Add clans. Each player can have one clan (think there's a fork for that).
* Each clan admin gets FOUR special blocks that must be placed in a square or rectangular pattern to define a "clan territory". The size of the territory needs to be limited to a certain number of blocks however.
* The clan admin then goes out and finds "unclaimed land" and sets his blocks at the four corners of the area to claim the inside area which then becomes that clans land.

Only members of the clan should be able to have build privs within that claimed land. On "unclaimed land" however all players have build privs.

So how does that sound?

Jacoo has a similar setup but the blocks cover 16x16x16 if I remember right. My idea is the clan admin gets four blocks at creation of clan. Those four blocks then be places at the corners of a defined area. The total area size should be limited so a clan cannot take over the world.

PvP is added in latest git (from what I've heard on IRC), but it is not toggleable for now.

Now it is: enable_pvp = true/false in minetest.conf, defaults to true.

I think 3d models and collision detection should come with this if pvp is added.

Like celeron said, he WILL NOT be using 3d models. As he wishes for it to run on ALL TYPES OF COMPUTER.

However, I think there is a fork for that. (Soon.)

I think that the 3d models shoul be implemented but it would possible to deactivate it.
