On Linux qjoypad works good.
Games: The Hungry Games.
Mods: Lifters (Simple Lifts), Snow Biomes and Gates.
Also checkout my texture pack Gridtoon!
View all of them plus more at http://minetest.splizard.com! (may not always be online).

I don't think Minetest is truly ready for a controller just yet. Not until the menus and such are setup to operate similarly like a console. The problem with Minecraft on Xbox 360 is they've mapped a mouse-like cursor rather than a selective cursor you would see in rpgs or any console game for that matter. Not to mention they wasted all the buttons on multiple menus.
Current Projects: MineToon | PixelBOX
Gambit's Checkmate Server - 43.65.296.232 - port: 30001

On windows at least you can use a program called GlovePIE to convert Xbox360 input to keyboard/mouse input.
Meow.

That is all.

There's also QJoyPad for Linux, but IDK if it/the kernel/drivers support XBox remotes.
