FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

i have Minetest and love to play it but i think that some people don't want to download it and want to play it online or just want to try it before downloading the game. so i was wondering if Pilz Adam or someone else could make a in-browser port of Minetest? i don't have enough coding expirience with LUA. and i also want to know how many people want an in browser version.

That would require pretty much an entire rewrite of the game for something most people don't need. On top of that, porting it to a web browser wouldn't be done in Lua.
