What about the water flowing? Will the water take items with? Will water influence the swimming of the charakter? And why is the waterflowing a little bit wrong?
Thanks for answers!

There is an old mod that makes items flow with water. Also, water does not push around your character.

If you're talking about minetest 0.4.7 (stable) without mods:
The flowing water will neither take items with it, nor influence the swimming of the player.
I'm not sure what you mean by "a little bit wrong", but I know it's not that realistic.

The only way in Minetest water will drift a character is if you're swimming up a watterfall, but that's not the water pushing you down, but gravity itself.

Having water push players and items in the direction it is flowing is a great immersion factor (same with lava and mud.)

Should lava destroy items, they could end up in a special chest in some dungeon somewhere.

PilzAdam has made a mod that does the water flowing and lava burning and it deletes dropped items after 3 minutes. ?I think it is called Builtin_items

this takes away from the danger of lava.

Not if you don't know which dungeon to check out (or if your bones end up in the lava.) I just want something that is a little different from what is in Minecraft.

yes i know hmmm what about giving it a chance for the items to appear after you are dead by lava, like 25% of the time your items might be stored in a chest somewhere in the map instead of making it everytime you die in lava.

If the items ended up in some dungeon in the nether, I suppose the chance of them being stored in such a place could be 100% (with only flammable objects getting burned up.)

Concerning water pushing players and items, the speed of their movement could depend on how steep the flowing of the water is (with waterfalls giving them the highest speed of movement.)

i don't think that might happen since it's going to be in a dungeon and those have terrain in them no? lol but it'd be funny to see someone struggling to get the items back and die of lava xD.
