Just wondering if we will see ping (connection speed) added to the public server list in the near future. Just think it's use full information before connecting to a server. Well it is for people like me that live far away from most the servers

Ping testing command under winows:
1- Press [WIN] + [R]
2- Insert "cmd /k telnet [server] [ip]" without quotes and replace [server] and [ip].
3- See if that server has good ping

Abit much work but this works.

You can see the ping of servers here:
http://servers.minetest.net/

yes but on this page you see the ping from Russia.
so it could be that russian servers have a better ping than other ones, because they are in Russia

so Krock's suggestion is more closely if you are not in Russia. ;-)

Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
Code: Select all
'telnet' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.

Thanks for the command, very useful indeed but i was referring more towards having the ping displayed of all public servers on the interface. Like most games have the IP-Server name-Ping just saves the need to manually ping all the servers or having to join and check the RTT. Never the less thanks
