Sort the Server List Mods and Players Columns Alphabetically

For G*d sakes yes, I wish they would. The current sorting method makes it too easy to exploit to push server to the top and makes quiet servers sink down to the bottom into obscurity.

I think he's talking about the mod and player lists, not the servers themselves.

Ah, well in that case...well hell do that too :P

Though, if you could sort the list by any column you like, that would be cool too, though only useful in the browser.

also on servers.minetest.net the field ping should be removed, because it tells only the ping from russia not the ping form Europe or the USA. so servers hosted in russia seems to be faster than all others.

i was told the listserver's in Germany, but yeah its kinda pointless, ping should be from user to server, not server to listserver.

Maybe an option could be set so that when someone sets up a server, they can select certain identifiers for their server, such as 'creative', 'survival', 'unmoderated', 'vanilla', etc. Then, when in the client tab, you could select an option, such as creative, and then all the servers with creative as an identifier would show up, and the server with the most players is first. You could still have the 'public servers' checkbox there to show all the servers in player order.

Good idea. I definately like creative servers, but some people probably really like survival
