Doors are not in the vanilla Minetest as the collision system would need some changes to be able todo this.

I think kahrl's collision patch (that is yet to be merged upstream) will allow a mod developer to add MC style doors.

I think the Gates mod has quite usable doors already:

It's not graphically perfect, but it's better than nothing.
