I think LAN would be nice. I try to get a server up and running and it is to mutch hassle. players should be able to click <Open To LAN> and have peple on the server no hassle. so can some one work on that, or what?

I don't understand your post.
If you start a Minetest-Server, it is in the LAN automatical.

Eh, just go to the servers tab and start hosting a server. Then all you have to do is give your friends the ip address.

As long as your firewall allows local connections (which is usually the case by default), you can just start a local server, find out your internal IP (type ipconfig in cmd on Windows, ip addr in a terminal on GNU/Linux), then enter that IP in the other PCs to connect to the server.

There could be a way to scan LAN for Minetest servers.

I can safely say that isn't going to happen. None of the FOSS games I have played have a feature like that either. Just learn to use what we have. :P
