UfoRun



This is a clone of "UfoRace" by Kenney!
It is very basic (and WIP) yet. UfoRun is a community project - every one can add stuff!
If you want, you can help to make UfoRun better!

Looks nice so far, here's some images that are pretty much copies of Kenney's.

It's fine if you keep the currrent ones; I prefer unique textures instead of copying Kenney's exactly.

You can add them (with pull requests) and I will merge it then :)
I just dont want to have extra strees :)

Thanks. I like the ufo you made.

So I tired making a 1 node tall player. It works for the visual and the selectionbox. But the player collision is still 2 nodes tall, so you can not go trough a 1 node hole. Does someone know a way to set this or is this not possible with the current engine?

We should also add a note about the texture license. I guess everyone is ok with CC-BY-SA?

My textures I don't care about the license, but if I have to give a formal license, then CC0.
Edit: WTFPL and/or LGPLv2.1+ is fine for me, too.

Happy to see this subgame revive, i will be happy to host a version of this game :)

(Maybe I also can help you when you released the game if you want to test if with some in-game players)

I think you need to mod the engine to get a player model with a one block high collision box

ok, we added
  • ufo model (Rui)
  • Add bouncer, cushion and spikes (Wuzzy)
  • Modifies the player's camera so it is only one block high. (wilkgr76)

I think these are all new things :)

  • added /build command
  • you will get teleported to a new level after you finished one
  • added simple inventory

i have an idea for the one node hole for player!!! just do that:

block___false block___block
block______air______block
block___block_______block

the false block is a block which is only visible = you can go trough!

The engine could also have a patch to allow overriding any of an entities parameters.

The ufo is not a player model, its an entity - like the boat (minetest_game)
