You are doing a great job keep it up wuzzy and thanks for your time!

I try to keep it up as long as possible. Let's see if I will make it to the end. My work here would not be possible without the work of many other people from which I took stuff. The available resources speed up development considerably.

Looks good! Such a subgame is very helpful for Minecraft -> Minetest conversion

Here I have some more feedback

1 The sea lantern shuld have an animation

2 the bed is stretched if you hold it in your hand also if it drops on the floor

3 the hopper needs its own texture (now it uses the coal textures I think)

4 mushrooms shuld disappear if not in shadow

5 you can't put a hopper in item frames

6 you can't put a sign in a item frame

7 you can't put bone meal in an item frame

8 itemframes shuld be an entity so you can put blocks inside the same space as the itemframe here you can see a torch on the wall and a item frame holding a slab

9 itemframes are to big look at previous link to see the actual size

10 stone stairs dount exist in MC

11 stone slabs have a difrent texture this is what it looks like

12 dark oak sapling has the wrong texture

13 Furnace doesent rotate properly

14 wooden trapdoor doesn't have correct side texture

15 dubble tall grass has wrong texture

16 waterLillis flikker at the bottom (in water)

17 mobs are not on fire if they burn by daylight

18 slime blocks dount make slime sounds if placed broken or walked on

19 peony is wrong it's 2 blocks tall not one also wrong texture this is what it shuld look like

20 you should post this on github so poeple can help (I wuld be willing to help)

That's all for this post thers still more but that's for later also is it a problem that I post these big bug reports

I somehow failed to upload version 0.6.0 correctly. Whatever, after some silent updates, here is a new changelog on top of the previous changes (version 0.7.0 + version 0.7.1):

  • Add shulker boxes in 16 colors (containers you can carry along)
  • Add ender chest (each ender chest shares a global inventory just for you)
  • Add many temporary helper crafting recipes to make some unusual items (especially mob items) accessible in non-creative mode. I did this to make even the early alpha versions more playable. For example, you can craft shulker shells and ender pearls although this is impossible in Minecraft. I will remove recipes when they become obtainable the “Minecraft” way. You can easily remove these recipes by deleting the mod “mcl_temp_helper_recipes”.
  • Change selection box of wall painting
  • Replace paintings with Faithful 1.11 textures
  • Fix not all paintings being available
  • Fix torch being not craftable. And nobody noticed. Hehehe … xD
  • Fix some issues when hoppers try to move items from hopper to hopper
  • Fix pigs not dropping porkchop
  • Add a couple of useful groups for modders, see API.md

I can't use lots of mod in this modpack

This is a subgame, not a modpack. Subgames need to be installed into the “games” directory. Extract the Zip archive into this directory. In the main menu, click on the icon with 2 grass blocks to select MineClone 2.
If you found bugs, please report them.

Oh boy, item frames seem to be very buggy. Maybe I find somewhere a mod which has a trick to solve rightclick issues.

Yes, double-sized plants still don't really exist. The current double tallgrass is actually just a cheap adaption of Minetest Game's jungle grass, which is of course not the correct implementation. This will be replaced when I add douple-si


16 waterLillis flikker at the bottom (in water)

I noticed there are flicker issues with other nodes as well (e.g. farmland). I'm not sure if I can do anything about it. :-/

17 mobs are not on fire if they burn by daylight

Status effects like burning are postponed for a while.

20 you should post this on github so poeple can help (I wuld be willing to help)

You can still contribute without GitHub. You can send me patches for small things. For medium things, fork the repository, upload it anywhere you like (including GitHub), make a branch, do your change in the branch, and then message me to request to merge this (with a short explanation what you added). For really big things, better notify me to avoid duplicate work. If you implement a missing Minecraft feature well, chances are good I'm going to merge this.


Sigh. I should probably add more web stuff for MineClone 2. Things are really getting out of hand. :-/
The main reason why nothing happened so far is actually just laziness. xD

You should change wield scales of items.
Minecrafts is bigger.

And some of wielded images should be a little rotated such as shovel. Minetests digging with shovel is like puching someones head with shovel :D

Hey wuzzy do you mind if I make some models (I dount know how to add bones also I can't animation and I can't put them in the game but if you are ok with all of those things I can make models which are almost exact replicas of the original models)

His models are not 100% accurate look at the bat his wings all that geometry the MC model just has 2 planes for the left and 2 for the right

The mapping is off on all models

minec is from the bace and lone2 i have made

I mostly made this for the lolz to test my logo editing skills

It may or may not be trademark infringement, but it certainly is copyright infringement because it is directly derived from the original file. And I hate to say it. But it's the sad truth. So I stick with my own logo for now.
Besides, the biggest sin in the logo is the fact that there's no space between “E” and “2”. This is completely unforgivable! xD Also, it looks a bit like “MINECLONEZ”. :P

Anyway, trying to imitate the Minecraft graphics is NOT a primary goal. Although I try to roughly make it so that it has more or less the same look and feel. MineClone 2 wants to be a clone, but not a perfect clone. My core attention will be on gameplay.

Oh, and model contributions are appreciated, especially if those models are optimized for Minetest. But keep in mind I'm not planning to work on mobs anytime soon, so I can't give you a quick feedback.

bug: In creative, signs arent infinite like other blocks (If i have one i can only place one) and they arent insta-dig and still drop.
Minor feature: when pushed by piston, cake should dissapear. This is acctually a part of minecraft :P It goes into the "void"
Also: I might take some of these items/nodes from this and add/modify them to a subgame I am making...that is if you dont mind :)

Some sign bugs will be fixed in the next version, but signs need a major rework anyways.
I'm not sure how shulker boxes should behave in creative mode. I actually intentionally made shulker boxes get used up in creative mode. Because without this, my inventory gets cluttered with identical shulker boxes really quickly if I place the “same” shulker box, dig it again, place it again, etc. If you have a better idea for behaviour of the shulker boxes, please tell me. If not, I think the behaviour I picked seems like a reasonable exception.

Minor feature: when pushed by piston, cake should dissapear.

Will be done when I do the redstone rework. The devil lies in the details. Cake isn't the only block which will drop or disappear when being pushed by a piston.

Also: I might take some of these items/nodes from this and add/modify them to a subgame I am making...that is if you dont mind :)

Well for shulker boxes you can make it so they don't drop if you brake them (but only if there is nothing inside and your In creative)

if that works the problem is fixed (this is also how Minecraft does it)

Little tip nothing drops if you brake it in creative (only containers if something is inside aka chest hpper furnace and so on

Also if you close the crafting (inventory and crafting table) GUI it shuld not keep the items in the crafting grid but instead they should drop on the floor

Also note the MC devs are recoloring all the wool clay and banners so make sure you do the correct colors ( otherwise that is going to be a lot of boring extra work for you)
