So I am not able to unzip the mods and textures into the minetest folder as everything is telling me to do so.
I run 4.9 Minetest on Ubuntu. idk what's going on, someone please help

Okay, so I downloaded the zips for the mods and texture packs and followed the installation instructions. It is not allowing me to add those to the minetest folders, they are not able to be edited any anyway. I guess locked is the best way to describe all the minetest folders.

You extracted the .zip file?

On Ubuntu, in the Home folder press 'ctrl+H'. Go to the .minetest folder. Extract there, and within the respective subfolders. i.e. textures, mods, etc. :3
