minetest compiled on fedora problem

by pheonixfire » Tue Feb 04, 2014 02:33

I've compiled minetest on fedora 20 but when I try to
launch it I get the following:

Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
Code: Select all
Warning: The library version of the Irrlicht Engine (1.8.1) does not match the version the application was compiled with (1.8.0). This may cause problems.

which is strange being that the only version of irrlicht install is irrlicht-1.8.1-2

has any one else encountered this problem

any help is appreciated

Try installing the development package for irrlicht-1.8.1
Mods: Mesecons | WorldEdit | Nuke
Minetest builds for Windows (32-bit & 64-bit)

I reject your reality and substitute my own. (A. Savage, Mythbusters)
I'm not modding and/or playing minetest anymore. All my mods were released under WTFPL. You can fix/modify them yourself. Don't ask me for support. Thanks.

@sfan5:
I tried your suggestion, it didn't seem to help

@PilzAdam:
Which post in that thread solved the problem?

The closest I came to finding a solution in that thread was someone
changing distros

any help is appreciated
