ERROR: A serialization error occurred

by ZionMoulder » Mon Jan 26, 2015 00:26

I'm new-ish to Minecraft. It's been really fun, and I've been enjoying it immensely. For the last three days, I've been working on a world. This evening, I tried to access the world I was working on, and the following error occurred:

Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
Code: Select all
ERROR: A serialization error occurred:
ServerEnviornment::loadMeta():EnvArgsEnd not found!

The server is probably running a different version of Minetest.

This seems to be a problem with the world, and not the game as a whole, because I can still access other worlds I've experimented with. Also, I made a copy of the world, and the same glitch occurred.

Can someone help me? Thanks!

I managed to be able to fix the problem. It had to do with the env_meta.txt file in the world folder. I had to delete the file and create a new one with the following Code:
Your phone or window isn't wide enough to display the code box. If it's a phone, try rotating it to landscape mode.
Code: Select all
game_time = 8953
time_of_day = 16397
EnvArgsEnd

Sorry. I meant Minetest. I often use Minetest and Minecraft interchangeably.

Hi, I have the same kind of error, but your solution didn't work :-(

After replaceing env_meta.txt, according to your advice, my world started but empty, only with sky abowe.
When I'm pressing "I" my Inventory opens empty too and another error message appears:

"Error[ServerTread]: Got packed command: 60 peer id 2 but client isn't active yet. Dropping packet"

Is it possible to get my world back?

Thanks in advance for help
