What!?

by iZacZip » Fri Jun 24, 2016 07:56

Hi all,

I found a bit of an interesting problem.
I was downloading an older client, (0.4.10), and I tried to log into a server with my existing account (iZacZip).
That's when I came to the problem. It always says "Wrong Password" when I log into an account I made with a newer client.
Please look into this, it's a strange one.
Sincerely, iZacZip.

I'm mostly found as iZacZip.
Preferably call me Zac or iZac.
If I'm in-game and don't reply:
I'm AFK, playing without the chat,
or not bothering to type.

The way passwords are stored changed during the 0.4.13 development.

So, if you created your login with a new client (and probably a new server version also), it used the new storage that is incompatible with older clients.

To fix this, log in with the new client and type /setpassword password
This makes it use the old password method
