Are you referring to the lack of texture or the selection box not rotating? If the game can't find the texture, it picks a random solid color. I don't think minetest supports rotating the selection box, so that's not a problem in the slimes mod; I noticed that in the boats mod too.
It's best to post bug reports in the thread of the mod it applies to rather than make a new topic.
EDIT: wait, do I see a small sheep face on one of the slimes? I have no idea what that is, lol. Sorry, try asking on the mod's thread.

This actually looks a lot like that attachments bug that was introduced recently, which causes entities to occasionally stick to each other, or to players. That sheep's face might actually be a whole sheep, most of which is embedded inside the slime, both of which are entities.
