[0.4.13][not a bug] MESE ore light problem

I've noticed that MESE ore has light problem in some circumstances (depending on the direction, probably), brighter than a surrounding rock. Examples:

ATI R6870 / Win7 / MT 0.4.13 on 0.4.13 server
All right-side graphic options are ON, no filter, mipmap + aniso, 3d clouds, smooth lightning, particles, connected glass

Could be caused by the black colors in the overlay texture

Mese has been made emit light. It seems many people see this as bug, but its no bug, its intended as feature.

It looks weird in half-lit caves, but I'll have another look at it :)

It's because nodes that emit light don't have smooth shading, while most other nodes do, like stone.

I like that glowing mese as well. AFAIK the old full blocks did glow as well.

because of how the ore looks ive made this mod: viewtopic.php?f=11&t=13094
crystals do glow but dont look weird as ore in stone does

that weird look is because ore is light source, so lit stone will never fit the other stone nodes around, theres no way to make it look the same.
