if windows, add this to the conf.

video_driver = opengl

this Should be a fix.

Did you do it right? Open minetest.conf using a text editor (on Windows, ideally Notepad++), then remove the "#" before the "video_driver" line if there is any, then replace "direct3d9" with "opengl".

Might be that your processor doesn't support some features? This has been reported before, see this one.

processor doesnt handle graphics, the graphics card does.
