CMake seems to ignore USE_SOUND and USE_GETTEXT variables.

That's because you don't have required dependencies for sound, gettext and gettext-dev

"cmake . -DENABLE_SOUND=0"
works for me, tested on fedora 14

What are the dependancies for sound?

And where can I get them for Windows.

You do not have to have a special windows version.
The depencies for sound are libvorbis, libvorbisfile, libogg

!Using cmake gui, it will list all the dependencies for you, you just point to corresponding include, and lib directories.

You might need the *-dev versions as well which would be the include directories.

Hmm, I'll try. I tried -DUSE_SOUND because minetest tell "USE_SOUND=1" in the game.
