Is it possible to change lighting model near minecraft style where (if my eyes not lie) lighting flow&bake 16 blocks around with discrete linear (as I see) gradiend ?

Yeah it is the right behavior for minetest.

About changing:
The lighting distance is already the same for both, but MC lighting is a bit smoother around the center. Also the night is brighter in MC, so there is a smaller difference between lighted and not lighted blocks.

Thank you RHR )

With <display_gamma = 1.0> it's looks same now, but caves seems so dark (without any illumination of course) I think "night adaptation" in my old maincraft was producted by something like HDR shader.

my shader modification

I've noticed such pattern long ago, not sure if problem, or just by design.
