FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

I have Minetest on my Android phone, and when I try to connect to a server, it freezes at "Connecting to server..." for about ten seconds and then crashes. I don't know why it does that, and I'll like to get it fixed. Here are my phone specifications:
Model number : LGL21G. Android version : 5.0.1. Kernel version : 3.10.49. Build number : LRX21Y. Software version: L21G10a. Processor : Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 1.2 GHz Quad-Core MSM8916. Carrier : TracFone. Network : Dual-Band/Single-Mode. Frequencies : GSM 850/900/1800/1900 MHz. Data Transmission : GPRS/EDGE/HSPA/HSPA+.

I had the same problem. I tried different versions until 1 worked.

Well, I just tried it and the 0.4.14 version doesn't work either. And I don't want to play with an older version. So, until I can find a fix or it gets fixed, I'll wait and I'll just play it on my computer.

That happened to me too, sometimes isn't a "bug" in the game, sometimes the game runs out of "Ram" or "CPU" to run and crashes. Try to disable graphical effects and shaders, that can help very much about speed, and if you use any app that be heavy and use just too many "Ram" or "Cpu" try to stop it(don't Uninstall, justly stop the apps, or as well)... Generally, justly make your device be faster.
Note: Be careful, don't do anything that could damage your device!
That may solve the problem, i don't guarantee anything, but that worked for me, so you don't lose anything...

Are there any errors in the debug.txt file? It should be in the Minetest folder.

Okay, I got it figured it out. I looked in the debug.txt file, and it was saying that I couldn't connect because I had left the password field blank. So I guess problem solved. I just wished it would tell me that instead of just crashing the game.

the app for android crashes everytimes if you cant connect since 0.4.14.
this include if..:
- the server is offline
- password wrong
- blank password
