May be its an user problem ...

but everytime I create at my homeinstallation of minetest (0.04.10 on Linux OpenSuse) a new world I have the problem to walk on the ground. I always stay on the same height, even if I don't have the fly priv. I can't jump up or jump/fall down.
If I give all the privs to me, I can fly up and down when free movement is enabled. Swichting back, start the game or Minetest once again doesn't change the problem.

On servers I don't have that problem.

Can you help me please :-(

Maybe mapgen... I have those problems when the "mapgen" sometimes justly don't want to work...
Also, do you need "noclip" to move freely in the world?

Ummm .... no, I can move without "noclip". But I don't fall down.

What does it mean that it is a problem with "mapgen". What can I do!?

I found out another "problem" ... may be it is related? The time does not changed automatically, no day and night cycle!

Are you playing in singleplayer mode or are you hosting a server?

Try to see if your "minetest_game" is alright, or maybe it's the engine... Have you seen if only it's that version of Minetest you got?

Well I removed it and installed it again ... now it works ... really strange!
