FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

I keep getting an error message, I couldn't explain it so I decided to shut up and make a video about it.

Pilzadam's Simple Mobs hasn't been updated in a long time so I would recommend using Mobs Redo which is compatible and contains more mobs:

How do I know that your mod even functions for me? I've had rats and sheep in my personal server and know with your Mobs Redo they have the Pink&Black unknown object sign on them. Furthermore, i haven't seen any mobs in my server since installation...?

If a mod creates mobs or objects, then you remove the mod, the mobs/objects that already existed will have problems until they are removed manually. It's easiest to create a new world if you haven't invested too much time in yours. (You should create a new world for test purposes anyway, any time you add a mod, just to make sure it doesn't do something you really hate.)

As far as mobs redo not creating animals, you need both the mobs redo mod and the animal pack (as well as any monster packs you want). Once both are installed, you shouldn't have any problems spotting animals.
