is it aviable that safe way to shutdown minetestserver ?

by linushsao » Sat Nov 26, 2016 01:08

hi,all. in my server, i setup a script to restart minetestserver evey night. but all i know is "killall minetestserver",directly terminate minetestserver and re-run it.

i dont know if it'll make something wrong,ex. data error or something.

does minetestserver has something like "minetestserver --restart" ?

Try killall -INT minetestserver, it's safer as it sends the same signal as if you were pressing ctrl+c
