I am trying to get the latest build for my MacBook Pro and the link on the minetest.net site goes to a forum post titled: [macOS/OS X] Neoascetic's nightly/stable builds and others. The link labeled "Minetest—latest stable version (for 10.9 Mavericks and later)" points to "https://github.com/krondor-game/minetest/releases/tag/stable". This URL gives a 404 error. I googled a bit but I hate installing software from suspect sources. Does anyone know where I can get the latest build?

Looks like the stable builds have disappeared from GitHub? However, you can also download the latest nighty build:
