FOSS gamedev and creative worlds

My Minetest game is not working. I updated it like just a thew minutes ago. The new version is nice. I can't open it. I restarted my computer. And the game just won't open. :( Please help me I love playing Minetest.

Glancing at your previous posts suggests you're using Ubuntu, but you might need to give us more information about your system and setup.

When you say ''the game just won't open'' exactly what do you mean : the application or the world..?

Were there any error-message dialogue-boxes, and did you look for clues inside the debug.txt file..?

How did you install, and how have you been updating..?

Are you using one of the minetestdevs ppa repositories in Software Sources..?

Sometimes when developers tweak and change things they do introduce incompatibilities.
