When i try to load my minetest worlds in 0.4.2 rc1, i get this error: "attempt to perform arithmetic on field 'creative_inventory_size' (a nil value)"

Also, I have a lot of mods - could this be affecting it?
I tried redownloading it - twice - but still almost no luck. Occasionally it works, but the sound is much too fast - you can hardly hear the standard digging/walking sounds, and the songs from the ambience mod sound like they're stuck on fast forward. I have Windows XP SP3(i think) - does anyone know how to sort out these two problems and why they happen?

EDIT:i have removed the "creative" mod, which seems to sort out both problems, but now i have no creative mode :(
At least until me (unlikely) or someone else finds a permanent solution.
EDIT2: the sound is too fast again, so that screwed up as well.

Creative mode is part of the game - no mods are necessary to get it, just turn that mode on in the game's main menu. There is already a proper creative inventory in the game now which has enough functionality to make the separate mod unnecessary.

By creative mod, I mean one of the mods in minetest_game folder - not the seperate mod by ashenk69, although I am trying to use that instead as the problem is with the official one - the one that has the pages of nodes/items from all mods, with buttons. Even though creative mode is on, the submenu/tab is not there(I took it out because it was causing the error - line 67).

hey qwrwed,

I get that message when I try to run the creative mod (the one in default mods in minetest_game) using an older version of minetest. Make sure you are running the latest 0.4.2-rc1.

It's definitely the newest on the blog - I tried redownloading 2 times - but if there is a newer one that needs to be compiled, I know nothing about it, so no solution there. I can understand why that or your craft_guide mod wont work on old versions; buttons were not implemented, but I don't know what's causing it in 0.4.2. Strangely, craft_guide and creative_inventory (the separate one) both work, but whenever I try to take something out of a creativechest, I get the error window which reads 'minetest.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close' and I have to restart it, which I don't want to do every time I want an item.

I can understand why that or your craft_guide mod wont work on old versions;buttons were not implemented, but i don't know whats causing it in 0.4.2. strangely, craft_guide and creative_inventory (the seperate one) both work, but whenever i try to take something out of a creativechest, i get the error window which reads 'minetest.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close' and i have to restart it, which i don't want to do every time i want an item.

Why do you use the creative chest when you have 0.4.2 with a creative inventory in the players inventory?

because the creative inventory in the player's inventory is what's causing the problem, and so far, no-one has any solutions.

Uninstall the external creative inventory mod you downloaded and /pulverize the item in your inventory and/or use worldedit to delete it from your map.

Creative Inventory as a separate mod is obsolete.
