0.4.3 - Crash before bootup on Windows XP SP3

The title says it all. I try to open Minetest, the black terminal window comes up, but before it says anything, I get

minetest.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

I recently installed SP3 over Windows XP Home Edition. My config file is correct, and I don't run into this problem on my other computer, which is using a newer version of Windows. How might I resolve this problem?

You need the Microsoft C++ 2010 re-distributable.

That didn't work. I still get the exact same problem.

It might just be your version of windows. What version are you running?

EDIT: I mean of minetest, I.E. 0.4.1, 0.4.2 ect.

Try this-
http://minetest.net/packages/nightly/minetest-0.4.3-4a11323-meta_set_nodedef-win32.zip
It's the latest dev version, and should (Hopefully) fix your problem.
After all, I do owe you big time.

Consider us even. That new version worked like a charm. A million thanks. I am now hosting a server at:
